Alestopetersius - bu characins, ko'pincha baliqlar Kongo daryosi havzasi yilda O'rta Afrika bitta tur bilan (A. smykalai) pastki qismdan Niger daryosi yilda Nigeriya. Hozirgi vaqtda ushbu turdagi 10 ta tasvirlangan tur mavjud.
